I'm trying to convince Mark to go to the Free Radicals reading/party this Friday, but he is skeptical because it's at a church. Churches make him physically ill (he is the only person I know with this ailment, but the last time we were in a church, he really did look green. Of course, that was at a realllllly long Catholic wedding with freaky icons leering at the crowd out of all the cornices). I've tried telling him that St-Mark's-in-the-Bowery doesn't even have, like, a cross on the altar. No stained glass! Heck, no pews! But he's still icked out. So we'll see. I'm going to try to take him, but he may just end up standing outside, scowling, chainsmoking, and cursing religion.

Things are going pretty good. I made a to-do list, which always makes my day go better. I took a look at the drafts for the first two sections of "Mandamus" (aka "the Giant Religious Poem,"), and hey, they're pretty good. a couple rough spots, but mostly very solid. Yay! I hope to have a good draft of the whole thing by the end of the year. The only problem I foresee is that when I get to the point of wanting other people to look at it and help edit, they're not going to want to, because, hey, who wants to read a Giant Religious Poem?
Eh. Whatever. Listening to Social Distortion. Yay.
