There's a book party for Jules Boykoff at 8 tonight at Bridge Street, and tomorrow, Kaia Sand and Semezdin Mehmedinovic are reading at Pyramid Atlantic, also at 8. Yippee!

Jeff moved a carload of stuff down yesterday and now my apartment boasts a closet of large and manly clothing. Also many many tools and a New York Yankees bottle opener. He is driving the car back to NYC today, and will return tomorrow to permanently haunt the environs of Capitol Hill.

Poems are percolating.
I got hit in the leg with a tennis ball last night. No, I wasn't playing tennis. I was innocently strolling back from dinner when a woman using one of those plastic doohickeys for picking up and hurling tennis balls to your dog lobbed one at me at MLB-pitcher-like speeds. Then her tennis ball bounced off me and down a storm drain. Now my leg hurts. Ow.
I have a plan to try to actually read all the books I got at AWP. Or at least dip in to them. This will only take, oh, say, the rest of the year. So far I have read:
Oh One Arrow (magazine/anthology thingy from Flim Forum)
Barbara Guest's "Forces of Imagination"
and I am in the middle of Cole Swenson's "Goest"
