I'm off to New York for a few days. I'll still be writing NaPoems, but probably won't have an opportunity to post them until late on Sunday. I've been stuck in DC for over two months now, so I'm looking foward to getting the hell out of Dodge.
Whee!

NaPo
Ten. I often do contemplate taking small, wild things and throwing them as hard as I can. I don't know how to excuse my violent tendencies, so I've stopped trying. I'm not sure that I really want to hurt things. I think I just want to throw them.

Today: putting salsa music on the iTunes, working up a sweat, remembering how little it takes to make me happy.

The lesson of
NaPoWriMo #9 is that I watch too much Discovery Channel.

NaPo Number
Eight. Utter hodgepodge. I have no idea what I'm talking about.
Worked a little on Applies to Oranges...Separated the poems into Yes, No, and Plunder-for-Good-Lines piles. The Yes pile is further divided into Us, Atmosphere, and Zenith/Orphans piles. The Zenith is my oracle; the orphans are my heroes. Us -- well, we're just a knotty little problem, and atmosphere, duhhh, is just that. I am very bad about working on this project, but working on it even a little bit gets me very excited.
This weekend I made the thing pictured below. It is going to be gifted to a small, presumably soon-to-be-frightened child.
