I am the princess of tomatoes, as I currently own fifteen tomato plants. Eleven I grew from seeds and so they are still rather small -- no more than six inches high. Two I purchased last weekend in Charlottesville, and they are at about the foot to foot-and-a-half mark, and ready for replanting. The other two I purchased way back in March, and grew on my windowsill until replanting them on the balcony in an enormous pot. They have been blooming and between the two of them, I now have thirteen tiny green tomatoes. Tomorrow I will go buy bone meal to ensure that I do not get blossom-end rot. And after that . . . the tomato kingdom is at hand!

A long silence in blogland, but things in the analog world are heating up. I continue to make copies of Michael Koshkin's "Parad e R ain" by the fistful, and will hopefully have all hundred copies done by the end of the weekend.
I'm also editing the oranges and sailors poems, and thinking (ever so distantly) of submitting. Excited about a new project whose first public debut will likely be in Jessica Smith's new magazine, FOURSQUARE.
I'm collecting NaPoWriMo poems for the NaPoChapBook, and getting my design-y type ideas together for yet another Big Game book, a collaboration between myself and Shafer Hall to be ever-so-reverently titled "Villanelles are Retarded."
Also: can one make paper out of tomato plants? We will soon know.
