Got the keys to the new place yesterday. We rented a big ole dolly at Frager's Hardware, and trucked over three loads of stuff...eighteen boxes, a guitar, and a bunch of paintings. Had a beer on our new front porch. Flitted gingerly around the crazy chandelier, oohed-and-ahhed at church bells that are somehow not audible from the old place, only three blocks away.

We were supposed to go hear Mark Wallace and Christina Strong read, but we were tuckered and Jeff had the most important religious ceremony of his year to attend to: FIRST GAME OF BASEBALL. He has tried to interest me in the doctrinal controversies of his faith, but I remain a bit aloof. It may eventually draw me in, particularly if I master the actual rules and the meaning of all the wacky things on the leaderboards, but to date it just seems like a really good excuse to eat hot dogs.

Mmm...with ketchup and onions. Oh sassy hot dogs, how I have missed you...
