This weekend I danced around and won a pie for being too cool for school. I have been whiling away the evening turning the comments of the random p0rnb0t that invaded my comments on Friday into non-sequiturs about ponies, tacos, and licorice. Any future such comments may be disemvowelled or turned into odd sequences of emoticons. I also enabled IP-address display, which may serve as some discouragement to spamulation, at least where directed by actual humans.

The upside of all this is that I finally figured out how to moderate my darn dotcomments, so I can delete posts or edit them...useful especially for hapless commenters that enter their email addresses, not knowing they will then be displayed. In the past, I had to resort to deleting the entire comment thread, because the CHMOD permissions are all wacky for my php files, but I discovered a workaround. Woot!
