Took a breather last night. Put a few protective sleeves on some copies of VaR and then called it a night. This weekend will be a weekend of frenzied binding activity, so I felt justified in chilling out for a bit.
Must start planning wedding. Although I have been talking about this for a long time, and have an idea of what I want, actually corralling all these people (tent people, catering people, lighting people, flowers people, picture people) into an actual ceremony seems like a royal pain in the butt. I gathered all the central Virginia tent people's information yesterday, and will start with them. Somewhat afraid I will faint dead away at the cost -- honestly, I can only justify spending so much money on this thing. I know I'm a "rich" lawyer now, but one of the ways rich people stay rich is by refusing to spend money on anything. So, a warning: I know I've been rhapsodizing about my farm-barbecue wedding for years, but you might just end up with dinner and dancing at the Satellite Ballroom. Also, I'm creating a "How Fed Up Is Maureen With Wedding Crap" Index so that you can gauge how close you are to switching out the farm for the Satellite Ballroom. Right now, I'm at about 5 on a scale of 100, meaning, mildly annoyed.
