Yesterday was a great day for poetry retail therapy. Found a used bookstore near my new apartment with a solid and very un-picked-over poetry section. I came away with:

Alice Notley -- The Descent of Alette
Maureen Owen -- Hearts in Space
David Lehman -- Valentine Place
Wayne Koestenbaum -- Model Homes
Weldon Kees -- Collected Poems
Erica Jong -- Fruits and Vegetables
Seamus Heaney -- Field Work
Kimiko Hahn -- The Unbearable Heart
Denise Duhamel -- Girl Soldier
Albert Goldbarth -- Arts & Sciences
A.R. Ammons -- Uplands
Andrei Voznesensky -- Selected Poems (translated by Anselm Hollo)
Diane Wakoski -- Inside the Blood Factory

Later I was up in Georgetown picking up some framing. (my awesome Jimmy Behrle painting defies framing -- I've picked out two different frames only to be told, weeks later, that the molding is out of stock. Bah!) I stopped by Bridge Street Books and picked up --

The Poker No. 6
Stephanie Young -- Telling the Future Off
Yuko Otomo -- Small Poems

They even gave me a three dollar poet discount. Rock!
